If you have Windows XP installed as an operating system it comes with its own system tools. One of the Windows tools is disk cleanup. It will help you keep your computer clean by removing unwanted or junk files from your computer. It will remove such files as temporary files, the recycle bin, compressed old files, offline WebPages, and downloaded program files.

How to use disk cleanup to delete files from your computer.disk cleanup

  2. Right click on C: drive and a menu will appear

  3. Choose properties from the menu

  4. Make sure you are on the general tab. Press on the button that says Disk cleanup

  5. Now a list of files will appear. Put a tick next to the box if you want to delete the files
