What
file format should I store my Digital photos in?

Digital Camera Tips

TIFF, JPG, and BMP are the most commonly used
industry standard file formats for saving your digital photos. TIFF and BMP
have been around for as long as I can remember, however JPG is now the most
widely used format. Most new digital cameras download their photos to the
computer as a JPG file. This saves allot of time for me as I do not have to
convert them.
A JPG file saves an image in high quality and
also takes up less space.
