Where to find items to sell on Ebay   Go to

By Mitz

People rack their brains trying to decide what to sell on Ebay. Here are some ideas to help with the process. I sure could have used an article like this when I started out.

1.   In your home. Everyone has unwanted items that they could experiment with on Ebay.

2.   Flea markets. People sell all sorts of things at the markets…The non-regular stalls are the best. At the end of the day you could offer to take the lot for a low price. It would save them packing it up.

3.   Garage sales. The early bird catches the worm is true here. Get there early and get the bargains first. When they are still unpacking is a good time because you get to see the goodies first.

4.   Wholesalers. You have to find wholesalers that are happy to have their product selling on Ebay. You also will need an ABN (Australian Business number).

5.   Write an E-book or make an information Cd to sell. I like the E-book idea better because you can duplicate the file endlessly. Write one book and sell it forever, just change the name.

6.   Shops. Yes, believe it or not. When they have a fantastic special sometimes it is worth buying. For example the winter or summer clothing sales. Sometimes they are so cheap. I would stick to the popular brands and make sure you know what it sells for on Ebay.

7.   Dealer’s auctions. Anyone can go, register, and then bid. Check it out first though. There are obviously some real professionals there. You will find them listed in a newspaper such as The Courier Mail in Australia. Be careful not to buy junk that you will be stuck with. Think about what you are buying and have a limit to pay…

8.   Research Ebay. See what other people are selling. See what is attracting the bids. Try buying a cheap product from China through Ebay and then asking them if they will wholesale that product to you? You never know. Wait until the transaction is finished to see if this is a credible dealer.
