Convert documents and files to PDF format free

By Mitz

Free computer Tips

A PDF file has become the most common document exchange format. Everyone can read and open a PDF document because Adobe PDF is a free program available to all. I like converting word documents to PDF so they cannot be altered and tampered with easily, however the free PDF programs available do not always have this feature. But don't worry, it is still possible to convert your documents into PDF without having to buy an expensive program.

How to convert documents to PDF format

Email - You can simply email your document as an attachment to pdf@koolwire.com and they will send your file back as a PDF document. You can send a Word (doc, docx), Powerpoint (ppt, pptx), Excel (xls, xlsx), Visio (vsd), MS Project (mpp), Jpeg, GIF, TIF, RTF, txt. Give it a try. It is great!

Online - You can go to a website that will convert your file for you. Simply enter your email in and browse your computer for the file and that's it.

Why convert documents and files to PDF format?

  • Documents looks better in PDF format.

  • You can enlarge or zoom in without loosing quality.

  • The file will be smaller for archiving or sending through email.

  • It's harder to alter the document.

Notes:

  • If you send a pdf file to doc@koolwire.com they will send you a word document back.

  • www.koolwire.com has a 10mb limit for files.

  • Sometimes if you have hyperlinks in the document you are converting, they might not work on the finished product.

  • If you are thinking about writing an ebook, Pdf format makes it look professional.
