By Mitz

You could be sitting at a bus stop, at McDonalds family restaurant, or just a friends house visiting, it doesn't matter. As long as there isn't security in place on the wireless network, you can connect. Most DIY home wireless networks are not configured correctly, and therefore can be a accessed. If you are at a friends house you may have to ask for the password or WEP key.

To connect to a wireless network you will need one of these

  1. A wireless pci card slotted into the side of your laptop installed and working.

  2. If you have inbuilt wireless, make sure it is switched on. Usually a switch on the side or front of the laptop.

  3. Either a usb wireless adapter or a wireless pci card connected to your desktop computer, installed and working.
