Remove The Blogger Nofollow Attribute Tag

By Mitz

Free computer Education

Have you heard of the relatively new "nofollow" attribute that webmasters are using to stop links on websites from being followed. This can mean that a link can be clicked on to go to your site, however it will not register as a backlink with the large search engines.

When you have a blogger website there is a "nofollow" attribute included on all comments. You can remove this form your blogger website by editing the template html. Here's how to remove the blogger nofollow attribute tag:

Remove your blogger nav bar - Free computer help and education

  1. Open your Blog dashboard

  2. Choose The Template tab

  3. Then choose Edit Html

  4. Press on download full template in case you accidentally delete something that you shouldn't

  5. Then tick the box that says Expand Widget Templates

  6. Click in the area where the template is and then press the Ctrl and F key together

  7. A find box will come up. Type nofollow in the space. It will find it for you. Change nofollow to follow.

  8. Press save template.

There are benefits to removing a nofollow attribute tag from your blogger site. I think it encourages more people to comment at your Blog posts, therefore creating a larger following and more traffic. There are also heaps of websites that are publishing lists of sites that have removed the nofollow tag.
