Where do I sign up for a free email account address?

Anyone can sign up for a free email account and get your own personal email address that you can use to send and receive emails. We have so many free email accounts available that I am only going to mention the main ones. What these companies are offering just gets better and better with all the increasing competition.

The main advantage to signing up for a free email account is that you can read your emails online, which keeps your computer safe from viruses. Another advantage is that they are disposable email addresses...In other words, if you get too much spam, simply export your contact list and make a new email account.

What is an email?

An email is mail that is sent electronically. It used to be a simple text file being sent using the internet, however now you can include pictures, attach videos, and more. You can send an email to your email server who will then send it to your email recipient (the person who receives the email) and they will read it using and email client. (

Where do I signup for a free email account?

Gmail:

Which is also Google Email, is my absolute top pick. The reason is that it offers some really great features and is easy to use. There is one drawback for you. You need to be invited to join by another Gmail user. Each existing Gmail user has 50 invitations to give away. I am sure you can find a friend that can spare one.

Top 3 Features - If you see a contact is online you can chat to them without downloading any programs. You can store a document in Google and you or anyone you choose can access it to edit it from anywhere in the world. Gmail also has features to let you download emails to your computer or to another email client such as Outlook.

Yahoo mail:

Yahoo is also a great free email account service and anyone can join. You do not have to be invited. All you have to do is go to the website and sign up for the free email account. You can also download Yahoo messenger for free to chat to other friends that also have this program.

Top 3 Features - Yahoo allows you to auto reply to emails, play cool games, and drag and drop items into your email.

Hotmail:

Which can also be known as Windows Live Mail, is another popular email server/ client that offers free email accounts to anyone who signs up.

How do I see the emails that people send me?

Once you have signed up for one of these free email accounts, to see the emails the people send you is easy. You simply go to their website again and sign in. Then you will automatically see your emails that you have. You can read, reply, or delete the emails.

Why do companies give away free email accounts and email addresses?

Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo give away free email accounts for a few different reasons. One is to remain popular and have users hanging around in their domains. The other is that they make money from advertising in these emails. There is also advertising on the pages when you are reading your emails.
