I tried numerous ways to
get rid of the ugly and annoying top navigation bar on a Blog I was developing.
Here's the easiest way that worked for me.

Open your Blog
dashboard

Choose The
Template tab
-
Then choose Edit
Html
-
Copy the text
below and paste it into the exact position in your blogs HTML that I have
shown below.

Preview your Blog
to see if it worked
Copy this text
#navbar-iframe
{display: none !important;}
