Common file or folder address paths in Windows XP

By Mitz

Free computer Education

Sometimes you need to get to a certain file or folder but cannot remember how to get there. Having long address path does not help. This is why I have a list of the most common file or folder address paths in Windows XP.

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\My Pictures

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Favorites

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\SendTo (usually hidden)

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{E12D27F7-2A55-4BF4-88D0-F54576AA26F5}\Microsoft\Outlook Express (Where folders are stored)

C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Start Menu

C:\DOCUME~1\User Name\LOCALS~1\Temp  To get to this folder, go to the start menu and choose run. Type %temp% and press enter.
