How to covert any video format or extract audio - avi,dvd,vob,flv,mpeg,ipod,mp3,Ac3,svcd,mp4,etc..

Sooner or later you will come across a file that will not play in a program or particular device you have and you will have to convert it to make it compatible to play. For example you cannot usually play an .avi video on a mobile phone. Therefore you could convert the video format from .avi or even dvd, to 3gp, 3gpp, or Mpeg 4 to suit your mobile phone.

Obviously to convert any video format to another video format you will need a very sophisticated program that could possibly be very expensive. Well not if you know about the free program called SUPER (Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer). It is totally free and very simple to use. But don't get me wrong, this program can perform very complicated tasks that not even the very costly video format converter programs can do.

What exactly can this program do? What formats can it convert to?

How to covert any video format to a video format of your choice to suit your device

1. Download SUPER Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer. Download link on the Download Software page.

2. Open the program

3. Open my computer and browse for the file or video you want to convert or extract audio from.

4. Select the file and drag it to drop in the box under the heading Drop a valid multimedia file here.

5. Now move to the top of the program and press the drop down arrow next to the first box that says Select the Output container.

6. A huge menu will drop down. Choose what format you want to convert your video file to.

7. Now by choosing the first option, in the next two boxes the default options will be selected automatically. This way we do not have to get too technical, however the options are there for you to change anyway.

8. Now you can choose to encode the video file by pressing on the encode button at the bottom of the program.

Notes:

• To find where your finished and converted video file is just right click on the program and a menu will appear. Choose Output file saving management from the list. You can change the output folder her if you like.

• SUPER is also compatible with AviSynth script files, flash files, Dvt-ms, Quicktime, Realmedia, Old Play Station, Tivo, VivoActive.

• You could download a youtube video and convert the flv file to a mpeg 4 to play in an ipod or a mobile phone. Convert the flv to avi or mpeg to play on your computer. Or convert the flv to 3gp to use on a 3gp compatible mobile phone.
