Hello everyone,
I really don't know where to start!
I have a webcam I need to install. I am running Windows XP Pro and it will not install it automatically.
I have lost the box, books, and disc in a recent cleanout..
I don't even know what the model number is. It only says microsoft on the base of the webcam. Can anyone help me?
In device manager it doesn't say any details that can help me..

In XP pro, when installing hardware there should be an option to let windows connect to the internet to get the driver. If it is a micosoft product you would think that it would be easy to get a driver for.

A Microsoft webcam should have installed by itself.. Even if you have Windows XP home. Unless the webcam is from the 1970's!!!
